Iron + Ivy Hair Studio is always looking for stylists and apprentices who care about the craft. We are New Zealand’s first Moroccanoil Flagship salon, 14 chairs in Frankton, a 5.0 Google rating from more than 650 reviews, and a team that travels to teach as well as learn.

Our Creative Director Lauren McMurray trained at Toni & Guy and Reuben Wood in the UK, has been a finalist for Top Performing Stylist of the Year at the NZ Industry Awards, and in 2026 spoke on the panel at the Moroccanoil Atelier conference in Sydney. You would be working alongside her and a team of Art Directors and Senior Artists from Ireland, Canada, Sweden, the UK, the US and home.

Is Iron + Ivy hiring hairdressers in Queenstown?

We are always open to talking with experienced stylists and apprentices. Send your work (Instagram is fine) and a short note through our contact page.

Do you take apprentices?

Yes. Apprentices train through the Iron + Ivy Academy alongside Senior Artists and external education partners.

What are the hours?

Tuesday to Saturday. Late nights are Wednesday until 6pm and Thursday until 7pm. Sunday and Monday closed.

Do you help with visas or relocation?

Several team members relocated from the UK, Ireland, Canada, the US and Sweden. Ask us about how they did it; we will be honest about what we can and cannot support.
