For a cut and style, you’re welcome to book and come straight in. For colour services — especially if you’re making a significant change, have previously coloured hair, or are interested in extensions — a consultation is strongly recommended. It means no surprises on the day, and you’ll have a clear picture of what’s possible for your specific hair type and history.
How Long Will My Appointment Take?
This varies considerably by service. A cut and style typically takes 45–75 minutes. A balayage or full colour service can range from 2–4 hours depending on the complexity of the work. Extensions appointments can take 3–5 hours for a full set. We’ll always give you a realistic timeframe when you book so you can plan your day accordingly.
What Should I Do Before My Colour Appointment?
Come with clean hair — not freshly washed, but clean. Avoid applying heavy oils or treatments directly before a colour appointment as they can interfere with the process. It’s helpful to bring reference photos of the colour result you’re after, and to be ready for an honest conversation about what’s achievable in your session.
How Often Should I Come In?
For cuts, every 6–12 weeks is typical depending on your style and how quickly your hair grows. For colour, it depends entirely on the technique: balayage clients can comfortably go 12–16 weeks; clients with a root application or vivid colour may want to come in more frequently. We’ll always give you a personalised maintenance recommendation after your service.
What Products Do You Use and Recommend?
