Welcome to Iron + Ivy Hair Studio in Queenstown, the home of luxury hairdressing and professional hair care. For over two decades, I’ve dedicated my life to creating beautiful hair. Today, Iron + Ivy is where passion, artistry, and innovation come together.

My Story – From Manchester to Queenstown

My hairdressing journey began 22 years ago in the UK. At 15, I spent every spare moment in the salon, learning, practicing, and developing a lifelong passion for the craft. By 16, I knew this would become my career.

I trained at the Toni & Guy Academy in Manchester, graduating with distinction in just one year—a course that usually takes four. My attention to detail and natural talent led me to become an educator for Toni & Guy. I shared my skills with the next generation of stylists.

From there, I joined Reuben Wood Salon in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, where I worked on editorial shoots, fashion shows, and creative projects. I also became the salon’s educator, designing training programs that helped assistants progress to award-winning careers. Seeing my students achieve titles such as “Young Hairdresser of the Year” remains one of my proudest accomplishments.

Moving to New Zealand

In 2014, I relocated to New Zealand, where I worked as Creative Director and Manager at Collective Hair in Queenstown. Alongside this, I educated for a leading international hair care company. This deepened my experience in professional styling, colour, and product knowledge.
