INTRODUCTION

Welcome to my studio: Iron and Ivy Hair & Beauty

It has always been my dream to own a hair salon ever since I start hairdressing 22 years ago. What started as a part time job for me swiftly became my life long passion. At 15, I could not spend enough time in the salon and when I wasn’t at school I was working, learning and growing my skills. When I left school at 16, I couldn’t wait to get started full time and over the next year I sought after the best school of hair-styling in the country and embarked on my journey.

The Journey

I moved to Manchester where I attended the Toni & Guy academy. I graduated with a distinction ahead of my peers, in hair-dressing just one year later of what would normally be a four year program. My natural talent and eye for detail allowed me to accelerate within the craft. Shortly after I became an educator myself for Toni & Guy.

I then started my residency at the prestigious Reuben Wood Salon in the Northern Quarter of Manchester UK. This is where I worked on and assisted with many editorial and fashion shoots. I became the salon educator and developed my own training program, taking assistants from the start of their career, through to some now having earnt the title of “Young Hairdresser Of The Year”. Despite winning awards myself, I see this as one of my biggest achievements, being so passionate about education.

I moved to New Zealand in 2014 where I held the position of Creative Director and Manager at Collective Hair in Queenstown. In addition to this I also worked as a educator for a leading hair care company.

Iron & Ivy Hair and Beauty is my dream realized. A place where I can express my talents and also influence the next generation of Stylists.

I welcome you to visit my studio and enjoy the warm friendly environment we have created. Myself and my team are here for you.

Love
