Iron + Ivy Creative Director Lauren McMurray was invited to speak on the panel at the Moroccanoil Atelier in Sydney, a two-day conference of education, celebration and guest speakers hosted by The Haircare Group. Stevee and Lauren made the trip over from Queenstown, and came home with fresh ideas and a first look at what is coming for our clients in 2027.

It is one thing to attend a conference like this. It is another to be handed the microphone. We are very proud of her.

First in New Zealand with Moroccanoil Pro Colour

Our clients will already know this part of the story. Iron + Ivy was the first salon in New Zealand to offer Moroccanoil Pro Colour. To have been on the ground floor of what is now Australasia’s fastest growing colour brand is something we are still a little amazed by.

It is a range our team loves working with, from balayage and blonde work to everyday hair colour in Queenstown. Moroccanoil is one of our brand partners, and weekends like this one are a big part of why.

Two days with some of the best educators in the business

The Atelier put us in the room with educators we have admired for years, including @richi_grisillo, @chinneyyeapcolour, @educatedbyrachel and @thaidavenport.

Seeing people at that level still in love with this range after years of using it speaks volumes about the innovation and creativity behind the brand.

What this means for your hair

Education like this never stays in the conference room. Everything from the weekend comes home to the team in Queenstown, which means it ends up in your colour.

We were also shown some of what is coming in 2027. We can’t say much yet, but we can’t wait to share it with you.

Thank you, Moroccanoil and The Haircare Group

A huge thank you to The Haircare Group and the Moroccanoil team for putting on such a wonderful event, and for having Iron + Ivy on the panel. 🩵
